The most important game in the last round took place in Forssa between third ranked Kouvottaret (6-4) and fourth ranked Forssan Alku (7-3) on Saturday night. Kouvottaret was defeated by Forssan Alku in a tough game on the road 69-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kouvottaret. Kouvottaret trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 21-9 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 69-75 at the end of the game. Forssan Alku made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American forward Mia Loyd (181-94, college: N.Dakota) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import guard Keke Calloway (170-97, college: Mercer) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. American-American Samoan power forward Sarah Toeaina (185-96, college: Hawaii) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Aliyah Collier (180-97, college: Clemson) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Forssan Alku have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Defending champion Kouvottaret dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Honka. Forssan Alku are looking forward to face ViVe (#7) in Vimpeli in the next round. Kouvottaret will play at home against the league's leader Peli-Karhut and is hoping to win this game.
