The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Grodno: Grodno (#1) and Grodno GrSU (#6). Grodno GrSU was crushed at home by 44 points 65-109 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Grodno GrSU. The game without a history. Grodno led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Grodno GrSU's 32. They also forced 26 Grodno GrSU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Grodno GrSU's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Grodno made 8 blocks. Ukrainian point guard Maksim Miroshnichenko (182-96) fired 29 points for the winners. The former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-86) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. Forward Tsimur Drukau (198-99) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and center Pavel Bliznec (211-94) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grodno (10-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Grodno GrSU at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They are looking forward to face Rubon (#4) in Vitebsk in the next round. Grodno GrSU will have a break next round.
