Regular Season Round 10: Chartres - CFBB 78-84

Bottom-ranked CFBB managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Chartres 84-78. And what about a second win in a row after ...seven consecutive losses. CFBB forced 27 Chartres turnovers. Point guard Leila Lacan (174-4) notched 21 points and 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws) to lead the effort and Sara Roumy (180-3) supported her with 16 points. CFBB's coach Gregory Halin used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds by power forward Kekelly Elenga (184-91) did not help to save the game for Chartres. Guard Joelly Belleka (170-95) added 24 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. CFBB (2-7) moved-up to eleventh place. Chartres lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Aulnoye. CFBB will meet at home league's leader Angers in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Chartres will play against La Tronche and hope to secure a win.
