Regular Season Round 11: Chelmno - Ogniwo Szcz. 93-80

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ogniwo Szcz. (5-3) against fourth ranked Chelmno (6-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Ogniwo Szcz. was defeated by Chelmno in Chelmno 93-80. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Ogniwo Szcz.. Chelmno made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Daniel Belski (191-86) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Kamil Maciejewski (188-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 assists. Center Karol Pytys (202-85) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and guard Michal Huk (188-1) added 16 points and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Five Chelmno and four Ogniwo Szcz. players scored in double figures. Ogniwo Szcz.'s coach Zbigniew Majcherek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Chelmno. They moved-up to third place. Loser Ogniwo Szcz. dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Chelmno will face AZS UMK (#11) in Torun in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
