Regular Season Round 7: H.Haifa - M.Rishon 85-84

Important game to mention about took place in Haifa. Sixth ranked H.Haifa (4-2) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 7th ranked M.Rishon (2-3) 85-84 in the fight for the sixth place. H.Haifa outrebounded M.Rishon 38-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Keenan Evans (191-96, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Amit Simhon (198-89, agency: Avi Zilberman) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Isaiah Taylor (189-94, college: Texas) answered with 24 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Trey Lewis (188-92, college: Louisville) added 23 points in the effort for M.Rishon. Five H.Haifa and four M.Rishon players scored in double figures. Newly promoted H.Haifa maintains sixth place with 4-2 record. M.Rishon at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. H.Haifa will play against league's leader Galil Gilboa in Rosh Pina in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. M.Rishon will play at home against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
