Regular Season Round 8: Jairis - L'Hospitalet 63-55

Jairis can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked L'Hospitalet (2-3) 63-55. 24 personal fouls committed by L'Hospitalet helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Nigerian-American forward Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: SJSU) who scored that evening 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jon Aramburu (204-92) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 4 points and 12 rebounds by forward Albert Homs (201-94) did not help to save the game for L'Hospitalet. British guard Danny Evans (193-97, college: St.Anselm) added 15 points for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Jairis (1-5) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place in Silver. L'Hospitalet at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Jairis' next round opponent will be higher ranked Cornella (#12) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
