Regular Season Round 19: Nishinomiya S. - Kagawa FA 91-92

The most exciting game of round 19 in the B2 League took place in Hyogo. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Nishinomiya S. (8-10) to eighth ranked Kagawa FA (7-12) 92-91 on Sunday evening. Kagawa FA made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Nishinomiya S. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) fired a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. His fellow American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) added 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Kagawa FA moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Yamagata. Nishinomiya S. at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Kagawa FA is looking forward to face higher ranked Kumamoto V. (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nishinomiya S. will play against Rizing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
