Very expected game when 11th ranked Cantu (3-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked Brindisi (9-1) 85-71. The game was dominated by American players. Center Nick Perkins (203-96, college: Buffalo) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Darius Thompson (193-95, college: WKU) supported him with 14 points and 9 assists. Even 17 points by point guard Jazz Johnson (178-96, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Cantu. Guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brindisi have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-1 record behind leader Milano. Cantu at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with five games lost.
