Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (11-7) outplayed 8th ranked Niigata A. (7-12) in Tokyo 97-72 on Sunday. Hitachi Sunrockers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata A.'s 34. Hitachi Sunrockers looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) contributed with 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners.
