Regular Season Round 11: Pleszew - Slask 3 91-68

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Slask 3 (3-7) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Pleszew (6-4) 91-68 on Sunday. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Pleszew outrebounded Slask 3 42-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Patryk Marek (194-98) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Mikolaj Spala (190-93) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Pleszew players scored in double figures. Point guard Kacper Burakiewicz (180-2) produced 28 points and Anton Azimka (199-2) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pleszew moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Slask 3 keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Pleszew will face Nysa (#8) on the road in the next round.
