Regular Season Round 2: Senigallia - Mestre 90-91

Very expected game when Senigallia was edged at home by Mestre 91-90 on Sunday. Strangely Senigallia outrebounded Mestre 39-19 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was power forward Marco Lazzaro (197-92) who scored 25 points and 4 assists. Dario Maran (189-94) chipped in 12 points. Simone Pozzetti (202-90) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Marco Giacomini (182-94) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Mestre and four Senigallia players scored in double figures. Senigallia's coach Riccardo Paolini let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mestre will face San Vendemiano at home in the next round where they are favorite. Senigallia will play against Vicenza and hope to win that game.
