The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Rapla's (7-5) home victory over 7th ranked Tartu (4-6) 86-59 on Sunday. They outrebounded Tartu 43-17 including a 30-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rapla looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Nigerian Al-Wajid Aminu (201-98, college: N.Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and international Saimon Sutt (200-95) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Four Rapla players scored in double figures. At the losing side Swedish point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) responded with 16 points and Hendrik Eelmae (200-0) scored 18 points. Rapla moved-up to fifth place. Tartu lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Rapla will face TalTech (#10) in Tallinn in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tartu will play on the road against Tarvas in Rakvere and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
