The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Vera Cruz (3-1) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Santo Andre (1-3) 73-68. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Vera Cruz. Santo Andre forced 21 Vera Cruz turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Ariadna Felipe (184-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds and the former international power forward Leticia Rodrigues (190-95) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side the former international center Damiris Dantas (191-78) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and the former international swingman Patricia Ribeiro (175-90) scored 15 points. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Santo Andre maintains fourth position with 1-3 record. Vera Cruz at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Santo Andre are looking forward to face higher ranked Sesi/Arara.
