Very predictable result in Wroclaw where fourth ranked Kosynierzy (10-5) defeated 11th ranked Twarde Pierniki (6-9) 82-70 on Monday. Kosynierzy dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Twarde Pierniki's 30. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kosynierzy made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 assists. American guard Elijah Stewart (196-95, college: USC) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Donovan Jackson (188-96, college: Iowa St.) with 24 points and international Aaron Cel (203-87) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Kosynierzy moved-up to third place. Loser Twarde Pierniki dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Kosynierzy will face Enea Astoria (#11) in Bydgoszcz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Twarde Pierniki will play at home against GTK and hope to win that game.
