Regular Season Round 10: GDKO Bizkaia - Adareva 67-70

A very close game took place in Galdakao between Adareva and GDKO Bizkaia. Eighth ranked Adareva (4-5) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked GDKO Bizkaia (5-4). Adareva managed to escape with a 3-point win 70-67 on Tuesday evening. Adareva made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Mali center Gnere Dembele (186-0) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Chilean point guard Sendy Basaez (170-96) supported her with 22 points (made all of her ten free throws !!!). Even a double-double of 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Juana Molina-Prados (172-91) did not help to save the game for GDKO Bizkaia. Finnish center Helmi Tulonen (189-98, college: Duquesne) added 18 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Adareva maintains eighth position in Group A with 4-5 record. GDKO Bizkaia lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with four games lost. Adareva will meet at home higher ranked Rioja (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. GDKO Bizkaia will play against Coruna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
