Regular Season Round 10: Almeda - Casablanca 50-70

Very expected game when 14th ranked Almeda (1-7) was smashed at home by eighth ranked Casablanca (4-5) 70-50 on Tuesday. Casablanca forced 23 Almeda turnovers. Quite impressive performance for forward Beatriz Royo (176-91) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Beatriz Bollullo (181-93) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Point guard Claudia Soriano (170-3) replied with 13 points and Marina Avinoa added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Almeda. Almeda's coach Fernando Gordo rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Casablanca moved-up to seventh place in Group C. Newly promoted Almeda keeps the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Casablanca will face Girona (#11) at home in the next round. Almeda will play against Sant Josep and hope to win that game.
