Regular Season Round 5: E.Netanya - Hapoel H/M 84-86

A very interesting game took place in Netanya. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 13th ranked E.Netanya (1-4) to fifth ranked Hapoel H/M (3-1) 86-84 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Hapoel H/M players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Daniel Danino (186-96) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Itay Moskovich (192-0) answered with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Bryce Washington (201-96, college: La-Lafayette) added 20 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in the effort for E.Netanya. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. E.Netanya's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel H/M moved-up to third place, which they share with H.Afula. E.Netanya at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Hapoel H/M's next round opponent will be Maccabi Ashdod (#6) at home. E.Netanya will play against H.Acre (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
