Regular Season Round 7: Rustavi - Batumi 95-71

No shocking result in a game when leader Rustavi (3-0) crushed at home 7th ranked Batumi (2-3) 95-71. It was a great shooting night for Rustavi especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American guard Mike Davis (193-96, college: Queens, NC) fired 25 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. His fellow American import forward JyLan Washington (206-97, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Levan Maskhulia (200-96) produced 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian center Nikola Vujovic (211-93) added 12 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Five Rustavi and four Batumi players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rustavi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Defending champion Batumi keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Rustavi's next round opponent will be league's second-placed TSU in Tbilisi and it will be for sure the game of the week. Batumi will play at home against Tskhum-Abkhazeti (#4) and hope to win that game.
