At the losing side American guard Crystal Primm (180-97, college: FAU) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Cameroonian forward Marguerite Effa (190-97, college: Nevada) scored 12 points. Four Rioja players scored in double figures. Plasencia have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with RC Celta. Rioja at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Plasencia will play against Barakaldo (#6) in Vizcaya in the next round.
