There was a minor upset in Givataim where 7th ranked H.Galilee (2-2) was defeated by ninth ranked H.Ramat Gan (3-2) 87-82 on Tuesday. Strangely H.Galilee outrebounded H.Ramat Gan 42-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American power forward Jeremy Combs (199-95, college: Texas Southern) stepped up and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and point guard Guy Palatin (193-0) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Romanian guard Omer Tal (190-92, agency: Avi Zilberman) responded with 17 points and 6 assists and guard Deshaun Night (186) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Five H.Ramat Gan and four H.Galilee players scored in double figures. H.Ramat Gan moved-up to fifth place. Loser H.Galilee keeps the seventh position with two games lost. H.Ramat Gan will face Maccabi Raanana (#9) on the road in the next round. H.Galilee will play against Ironi Kiryat Ata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
