There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Rosalia (1-6) was edged on the road by thirteenth ranked Aviles (2-6) 52-50 on Tuesday. It was a very good performance for Angolan-Portuguese Artemis Barbosa (183-93) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. Portuguese swingman Marcy Goncalves (177-90) contributed with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Sara Corredoira (-0) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Brazilian center Leticia Soares (185, college: San Diego) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Rosalia. Rosalia's coach Chiqui Barros tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Aviles moved-up to tenth place in Group A. Newly promoted Rosalia dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. Aviles will face Arxil Pontevedra (#12) on the road in the next round. Rosalia will play against the league's second-placed Ardoi having rather not much hope for a victory.
