This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Perth Lynx (4-9) to sixth ranked Sydney Uni Flames (4-8) 71-68 in the game for the sixth place. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Lauren Scherf (196-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Alison Schwagmeyer-Belger (177-90, college: Quincy) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. International Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) replied with 24 points and guard Alexandra Sharp (185-97, college: Wake Forest) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Perth Lynx. Sydney Uni Flames maintains sixth position with 4-8 record. Perth Lynx at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Sydney Uni Flames are looking forward to face higher ranked Adelaide Lightning (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Perth Lynx will have a break next round.
