Not a big story in a game in Saporro where 10th ranked Hokkaido L. (4-15) was defeated by sixth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (12-7) 77-71 on Wednesday. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. Forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 18 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Hitachi Sunrockers. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Nagoya DD. Hokkaido L. lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Toyota Alvark.
