Regular Season Round 19: Ryukyu GK - Shinshu BW 83-69

There was no surprise in Okinawa where 6th ranked Shinshu BW (7-12) was defeated by second ranked Ryukyu GK (14-5) 83-69 on Wednesday. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Wasserman) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) scored 19 points. Five Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ryukyu GK keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kawasaki BT and Sea Horses M. Newly promoted Shinshu BW keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. Ryukyu GK will face Osaka E. (#4) on the road in the next round. Shinshu BW will play against Yokohama BC and hope to win that game.
