Regular Season Round 19: Tochigi B. - Toyama G. 100-63

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tochigi B. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tochigi B. smashed 3rd placed Toyama G. at home 100-63. Tochigi B. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Toyama G.'s 36. They outrebounded Toyama G. 41-25 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Toyama G.'s players. It was a great evening for international forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 20 points and 4 steals. At the losing side Zimbabwean-American forward Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and American center Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 12 points. Four Toyama G. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Chiba J. Toyama G. at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Toyama G. will play next round against strong Toshiba Thunders trying to get back on the winning streak. Tochigi B. will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Shiga L-Stars on the road.
