An interesting game for Piestanske C. (11-1) which hosted in Piestany 4th ranked Samorin (7-6). First ranked Piestanske C. had an easy win 83-53. Piestanske C. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 30. They outrebounded Samorin 50-16 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Piestanske C. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Samorin's players. The winners were led by Natalia Martiskova (170-99) who scored that evening 14 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Terezia Palenikova (178-95, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Piestanske C. players scored in double figures. Piestanske C.'s coach Lucia Krc-Turbova felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by the former international guard Timea Sujova (172-84) did not help to save the game for Samorin. Simona Marcova (182-94) added 16 points. Piestanske C. have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Samorin at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Piestanske C. will again meet at home Samorin (#4) in the next round. Samorin will have a break next round.
