An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Chengdu. Third ranked Jiangsu Phoenix faced 4th placed Blue Whales. Guests from Nanjing (11-1) defeated host Blue Whales (9-3) 87-83. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Blue Whales. Jiangsu Phoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Center Chenyan Chenyan (200-99) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international guard Weina Jin (180-92) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. International Ting Shao (183-89) produced 22 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and the former international Song Song (188-92) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Jiangsu Phoenix and four Blue Whales players scored in double figures. Jiangsu Phoenix have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Blue Whales at the other side keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Shanghai. Jiangsu Phoenix are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Wuhan (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Blue Whales will play against Dragons (#15) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
