Regular Season Round 11: Espoo Team - Pyrinto 95-58

Bottom-ranked Pyrinto is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to second ranked Espoo Team (10-1) 95-58 on Wednesday evening. The game without a history. Espoo Team led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Espoo Team forced 29 Pyrinto turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Pyrinto helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Hannah Little (186-94, college: Oakland) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Her fellow American import swingman Morgan Batey (180-94, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Areus Sports) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Reetta-Sofia Tulkki (175-0) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Liisa Taponen (193-2) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Pyrinto. Pyrinto's coach Juri Heinamaki gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Espoo Team have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-1 record having just one point less than leader PeKa. Newly promoted Pyrinto still closes the standings with ten games lost. Espoo Team are looking forward to face ViVe (#7) in Vimpeli in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Pyrinto will play on the road against HBA-Marsky in Helsinki and hopes to get finally their first victory.
