Regular Season Round 12: Trefl 2 Sopot - Gniezno 85-70

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Trefl 2 Sopot's (4-5) road victory over 8th ranked Gniezno (3-7) 85-70 on Friday. It was a good game for forward Daniel Ziolkowski (195-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Point guard Hubert Lalak (176-3) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Point guard Daniel Kotwasinski (185-99) replied with 14 points and 5 assists and Michal Szydlowski (197-87) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gniezno. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gniezno's coach Arkadiusz Konowalski rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Trefl 2 Sopot maintains seventh position with 4-5 record. Gniezno lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with seven games lost. Trefl 2 Sopot will face AWFiS Gdynia (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Gniezno will play against Astoria 2 in Bydgoszcz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
