Bottom-ranked Bendigo Spirit (0-13) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to third ranked Boomers (9-4) 91-70 on Friday evening. Boomers looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Madeleine Garrick (178-92) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. International power forward Eziyoda Magbegor (176-99) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Tessa Lavey (172-93) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and American power forward Jennie Rintala (188-90, college: S.Dakota St.) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Boomers moved-up to second place, which they share with Townsville and Canberra. Bendigo Spirit lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost.
