Regular Season Round 12: Sudety - Miedzychod 80-105

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Miedzychod (8-2) outplayed 5th ranked Sudety (7-4) in Jelenia Gora 105-80 on Saturday. Miedzychod had a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for swingman Jakub Nowak (186-89) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Jakub Simon (202-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (189-85) replied with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Damian Ostrowski (186-98) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Sudety. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Miedzychod have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Sudety dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Miedzychod will face Katy Wroc. (#7) in Katy Wroclawskie in the next round where they are favorite. Sudety will play on the road against Tarnovia in Tarnowo Podgorne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
