Regular Season Round 20: Levice - Handlova 91-79

SBL top team - Levice (12-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Handlova (4-11) 91-79. Levice made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Levice had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The winners were led by the former international center Boris Bojanovsky (217-93, college: FSU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and international point guard Simon Krajcovic (187-94, college: LMU) supported him with 8 points and 13 assists. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by Serbian power forward Aleksandar Zecevic (207-96, college: FAU) did not help to save the game for Handlova. Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic (191-91) added 14 points for the guests. Four Levice and five Handlova players scored in double figures. Handlova's coach Danilo Rakocevic tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Levice have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-4 record. Loser Handlova dropped to the bottom place with 11 games lost. Levice will meet Iskra Svit (#4) on the road in the next round. Handlova will play against Lucenec and hope to secure a win.
