Regular Season Round 9: L'Hospitalet - Villarrobledo 61-62

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Villarrobledo and 12th ranked L'Hospitalet had identical 2-5 record. But L'Hospitalet was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Villarrobledo 62-61 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Ghanian forward Reggie Agbeko (203-92, college: St.Louis) who scored 12 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Naturalized Senegalese center Serigne Ndiaye (204-98) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Edgar San-Epifanio (196-87) who recorded 16 points and swingman Javier Balastegui (187-97) added 10 points respectively. L'Hospitalet's coach Jose Manuel Hoya tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Villarrobledo went down to eleventh position (Silver) due to points difference. Loser L'Hospitalet keeps the twelfth place with six games lost. Villarrobledo will face higher ranked Cornella (#10) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. L'Hospitalet will play against Menorca where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
