Very expected game when 11th ranked SMS PZKosz (2-8) lost to fifth ranked Ogniwo Szcz. (6-4) in Wladyslawowo 57-72 on Saturday. Ogniwo Szcz. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to SMS PZKosz's 34. Ogniwo Szcz. forced 19 SMS PZKosz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. SMS PZKosz was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Karol Pytys (202-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 21 rebounds. Guard Karol Nowacki (194-91) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Center Kamil Bialachowski (200-2) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks and center Piotr Winkowski (208-3) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for SMS PZKosz. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ogniwo Szcz. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chelmno and Katy Wroc. SMS PZKosz lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Ogniwo Szcz. will face AZS UMK (#8) in Torun in the next round. SMS PZKosz will play at home against AWFiS Gdynia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
