Regular Season Round 9: Zornotza - Marbella 66-70

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Zornotza (8-2) against ninth ranked Marbella (5-3) on Saturday night. Host Zornotza was defeated by Marbella in a tough game in Amorebieta-Echano 66-70. It was a good game for Danish swingman David Knudsen (196-94, college: Marist) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Devin Wright (202-86) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Bryson Robinson (193-98, college: New Orleans) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Bernardo Garcia (183-92) added 12 points in the effort for Zornotza. Zornotza's coach Mikel Garitaonandia rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Marbella moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Zornotza at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. Marbella will play against Clavijo (#9) in Logrono in the next round. Zornotza will play on the road against Zentro Basket (#7) in Madrid and hopes to get back on the winning track.
