Regular Season Round 12: Legia 2 - LKS Lodz 83-78

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Legia 2 (8-3) beat 7th ranked LKS Lodz (5-6) in Warszawa 83-78 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Legia 2 made 7 blocks. It was a good game for guard Przemyslaw Kuzkow (185-99, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Benjamin Didier-Urbaniak (196-1) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Legia 2's coach Krzysztof Szablowski used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Jacek Gwardecki (199-94) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Bartlomiej Bartoszewicz (199-92) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for LKS Lodz. Four LKS Lodz players scored in double figures. Legia 2 maintains third position with 8-3 record having just one point less than leader AZS UMCS, which they share with Ostrow Mazow. and AZS AWF Mick. LKS Lodz lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Legia 2 will face Zubry (#8) in Bialystok in the next round where they are favorite. LKS Lodz will play on the road against Kutno and hope to win that game.
