Regular Season Round 5: Paulistano - Pato Basquete 75-68

Very predictable result in Sao Paulo where sixth ranked Paulistano (6-2) defeated 11th ranked Pato Basquete (3-7) 75-68 on Saturday. Victor Camilo (203-97) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Deryk Ramos (185-94) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. American forward Charles Funches-III (203-88, college: Hampton) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Matheusinho Brito (184-0) scored 12 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paulistano moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bauru. Loser Pato Basquete dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Paulistano will face Campo Mourao (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pato Basquete will play against Brasilia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
