Regular Season Round 12: Bielsko-Biala - MKS DG 2 99-91

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked MKS DG 2 (6-5) lost on the road to seventh ranked Bielsko-Biala (6-5) 99-91 on Saturday. Bielsko-Biala dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 44 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Bielsko-Biala forced 22 MKS DG 2 turnovers. Strangely MKS DG 2 outrebounded Bielsko-Biala 40-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for point guard Wojciech Zub (181-95) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all fourteen shots !!!). Forward Robert Kozaczka (198-81) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Konrad Dawdo (198-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) added 20 points and 5 assists in the effort for MKS DG 2. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Bielsko-Biala moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zyrardow and MKS DG 2. MKS DG 2 lost third consecutive game. Bielsko-Biala will face AZS PWSTE (#8) in Jaroslaw in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play at home against AZS AWF Mick. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
