Regular Season Round 12: AZS UMK - Chelmno 83-66

We should not miss a home victory of eighth ranked AZS UMK (4-6) over higher ranked Chelmno (6-4) 83-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Chelmno. AZS UMK dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Chelmno's 22. AZS UMK had a 38-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Jakub Kondraciuk (191-99) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Michal Samsonowicz (187-98, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points and 9 assists. Four AZS UMK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Krystian Rosinski (190-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Daniel Belski (191-86) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS UMK have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 4-6 record. Newly promoted Chelmno keeps the fourth place with four games lost. AZS UMK's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ogniwo Szcz. (#5) in Szczecin and it may be quite challenging game. Chelmno will play at home against Arka 2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
