The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Zyrardow's (6-5) home loss to fourth ranked Ostrow Mazow. (8-3) 87-103 on Saturday. Zyrardow was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Ukrainian point guard Aleksander Szczerbatiuk (177-96) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. Swingman Mikolaj Motel (191-94) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Guard Sylwester Kus (188-90) replied with 24 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and Mariusz Lapinski (196-82) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Zyrardow. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ostrow Mazow. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with AZS AWF Mick. and Legia 2. Newly promoted Zyrardow keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Ostrow Mazow. will face league's leader AZS UMCS in Lublin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zyrardow will play on the road against Pabianice (#13) and hope to win that game.
