The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked Zaragoza's (5-8) road victory over 13th ranked Gran Canaria (3-12) 82-78. It was an exceptional evening for American-Montenegrin center Markeisha Gatling (196-92, college: NC State) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Mali power forward Sika Kone (190-2) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-95, college: UTEP) added 19 points respectively for Gran Canaria in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zaragoza moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Araski. Gran Canaria lost their third game in a row. Gran Canaria at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Zaragoza's next round opponent will be higher ranked Cadi La Seu (#9) in Seu D'urgell and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gran Canaria will play at home against Clarinos (#6) and hope to win that game.
