Regular Season Round 9: Ragusa - Zadar 98-35

Undefeated leader Ragusa delivered the seventh consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Zadar (0-7) 98-35 in Dubrovnik. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Zadar's 18. Ragusa forced 30 Zadar turnovers and outrebounded them 47-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Zadar's players. It was a good game for the former international forward Iva Todoric (174-93) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals. Power forward Ana Vrsaljko (188-84) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Mihaela Dobric (-3) answered with 11 points and guard Katia Nekic (-4) added 11 points in the effort for Zadar. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Zadar at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Pozega. Ragusa will play against Split (#4) on the road in the next round. Zadar will play against the league's second-placed Pula and hopes to get finally their first victory.
