Regular Season Round 8: H.Beer Sheva - H.Holon 86-89

Important game to mention about took place in Beer Sheva. Eighth ranked Hapoel Holon (3-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked H.Beer Sheva (4-3) 89-86 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But H.Beer Sheva won third quarter 24-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely H.Beer Sheva outrebounded Hapoel Holon 43-31 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. H.Beer Sheva was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was also dominated by American players. Chris Johnson (198-90, college: Dayton) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. CJ Harris (191-91, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Eric Griffin (203-90, college: Campbell) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Spencer Weisz (193-95, college: Princeton) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for H.Beer Sheva. Four H.Beer Sheva players scored in double figures. H.Beer Sheva's coach Rami Hadar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Holon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 3-3 record. H.Beer Sheva at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with M.Rishon. Hapoel Holon will play against Ironi Nahariya (#11) at home in the next round. H.Beer Sheva will play against Hapoel Eilat (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
