We should mention about the upset which took place in Bydgoszcz, where higher ranked Kosynierzy (10-6) lost to thirteenth ranked Enea Astoria (7-9) in a road game 83-91. The winners were led by American guard Corey Sanders (188-97, college: Rutgers) who scored that evening 26 points and 5 assists and Lithuanian guard Paulius Dambrauskas (195-91, agency: Players Group) supported him with 16 points and 4 assists. Enea Astoria's coach Artur Gronek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-97, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Kosynierzy. Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-96) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
