Regular Season Round 21: Yokohama BC - Shinshu BW 58-64

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Shinshu BW (8-13) defeated on the road 8th ranked Yokohama BC (6-15) 64-58 on Sunday. They outrebounded Yokohama BC 38-23 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yokohama BC was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) answered with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Czech Patrik Auda (204-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points in the effort for Yokohama BC. Yokohama BC's coach Kyle Milling let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shinshu BW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars and Shimane SM. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. Shinshu BW will face higher ranked Osaka E. (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yokohama BC will play against Akita Happinets (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
