There was no surprise when 5th ranked Trapani (2-4) was crushed at home by third ranked Torino (3-1) 110-83 on Sunday. Torino shot 63.3 percent from the field and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Naturalized American guard Mirza Alibegovic (196-92) fired 23 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Alessandro Cappelletti (186-95) chipped in 18 points. The former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Shonn Miller (201-93, college: UConn) added 16 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trapani's coach Daniele Parente gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Torino maintains third place in A2 with 3-1 record having just three points less than leader Scafati. Loser Trapani dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Torino will face Treviglio (#6) on the road in the next round. Trapani will play against Biella (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
