Regular Season Round 8: Lleida - Huesca 67-63

Rather predictable result in Lleida where sixth ranked Basquet (3-3) beat 9th ranked Huesca (1-5) 67-63. They outrebounded Huesca 32-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American center Michael Buchanan (212-94, college: USC Upstate) who scored that evening 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Dominican Eddy Polanco (190-94, college: SE Louisiana) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 21 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) by forward Ramon Vila (203-97, college: Chattanooga) did not help to save the game for Huesca. British-Dutch guard Devon Van-Oostrum (190-93, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Basquet moved-up to fifth place in Gold. Huesca at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Basquet's next round opponent will be Girona (#7) on the road. Huesca will play against Almansa and hope to win that game.
