B1 League top team - Aishin Sea Horses (16-5) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Niigata A. (6-15) 100-69. Aishin Sea Horses looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was a good game for American guard Kyle Collinsworth (198-91, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. International center Avi Schafer (203-98, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. American-North Macedonian power forward Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Niigata A.Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-5 record. Niigata A. lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face Hokkaido L. (#10) in Saporro in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Niigata A. will play on the road against San-en NeoPhoenix in Hamamatsu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
