There was a minor upset when Flying Balls (1-2) lost on the road to Cecina (1-2) 89-75 on Sunday. Cecina forced 19 Flying Balls turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Cecina especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. It was a good game for Lorenzo Pistillo (195-97) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 4 assists. Guard Saverio Bartoli (194-0) contributed with 15 points, 7 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Cecina's coach Roberto Russo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Nicolo Bertocco (198-95) answered with 15 points and center Alberto Bedin (202-99) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Flying Balls. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cecina will face Chiusi (#6) on the road in the next round. Flying Balls will play against San Miniato and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
