Regular Season Round 4: Al Jalil - Al Ahli 83-97

Premier League top team - Al Ahli (4-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Al Jalil (0-4) in Irbid 97-83. Al Ahli players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by international guard Fadi Ibrahim (190-96, college: Tampa) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals and international power forward Hashem Abbas (198, college: Bridgeport) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Even 32 points and 9 rebounds by international center Moussa Mutleq (204-91) did not help to save the game for Al Jalil. Ibrahim Hamati (187-96) added 22 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al Ahli have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Al Jubaiha. Newly promoted Al Jalil still closes the standings with four games lost. Al Ahli will play against league's second-placed Al Jubaiha in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Jalil will play against Al Wihdat (#3) in Amman and hopes to get finally their first victory.
